Avenger's Week | Check Out My Instagram
Guys & Dolls we are one week away from Avengers: Endgame & to celebrate Armand & I wanted to do something really special. For the next week you will see how his love of Marvel (Hey! I love it too!) & my love of Fashion came together to create magic. We challenged each other to think outside the box & ask How can we celebrate some of our favorite superheroes 🦸♀️ while staying true to my style?
Avengers Week: Spiderman
Armand and I chose the Staten Island Ferry for Spidey because in various versions of his films he seems to get himself in trouble while aboard the most famous ferry in NYC. The colors and the background fits with my outfit choice. Forever 21 saved my life here! The Palazzo pants, head scarf & earrings all came from a shopping trip I made a couple of weeks ago. I had been so lost about what to create for him. I’m so so happy it worked out.
Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers
Captain Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, is a former United States Air Force pilot who, upon being exposed to the Tesseract, developed cosmic powers. During her film “Captain Marvel” we learn that Carol is now a Kree-Human hybrid thanks to a blood transfusion with her mentor Yon-Rogg, we learn that she is now the most powerful being in the universe, which is good because we could use her help in the fight against Thanos in Avengers: Endgame.
Inspired by the 90’s era I opted for making my wooden bead necklace from J. Crew into a choker and added some stacked bangles to what is maybe my new favorite t-shirt purchased lovingly by my fiancé Armand at Forbidden Planet in NYC. I first had my hair tied to the back but after seeing the photos I decided to let my hair down and these were the results. It’s a very Gwen Stefani Tragic Kingdom vibe without the sticker gems all over my forehead and blue hair. I knew I had wanted at least one of these outfits to feel like it was from a different time, and I’m happy that it was T’Challa’s.
Avengers Week: Iron Man/Tony Stark
I had to start Avengers Week with the man who started it all. Tony Stark aka Iron Man. Tony starts off as a man you’d mostly wanna punch in the face a character, a billionaire who loves women, drinks and the money he makes. By the time we get to Avengers: Infinity War he’s a changed man. He’s suffered dearly having inadvertently created Ultron who then destroyed an entire city to create an extinction level event, losing a good friend in Captain America & realizing that all those weapons Stark Industries had made in the past did real damage to people. He’s found love and, but he’s also found anxiety in knowing that the world will never truly be safe.
Avengers Week: Black Widow
Black Widow’s outfit was maybe the hardest of the bunch. Boy did I wrap my head around how my style and this women’s very tactical look would work for me. Ultimately I took the more casual more “me” approach and chose an outfit that was comfortable, stylish but had hints of Natasha in it.
Avengers Week: Captain America
Captain Steven Grant "Steve" Rogers is a World War II veteran, is a founding member of the Avengers like Black Widow and for me has a heart of gold. His heart is most likely always in the right place, and he does his best to fight for the good of…well America as well as people he cares about (Bucky Barnes most notability).
